Vision Company Midyear Report
Vision completed some portion of this but never distributed it. Dr. Daniel R. Fruit Program DirectorVision Company End of Year Report
Letter from the President and Officers to the Stockholders:
Chief Executive Officer:
Dear Shareholders,
During our working period in the year 2005 we had a plan to have more than four trips to Failaka. Unfortunately we only succeeded in having one trip. The other three trips were cancelled because we could not provide transportation to Failaka due to some climate changes. Granted, we still had a net revenue of 75.5 KD but our liabilities outweighed this number. We had to pay a 100KD sponsor fee and 324 KD as salaries. Due to this the remaining money the company had was 66 KD meaning that each stock will only be worth 1.5 KD. Dear Stockholders the only reason that made the company pay high wages is that most of the stockholders are company personnel. This is the main reason that made the company pay its personnel wages above market price.
Please read the following reports from my officers.
Dheidan Al-Shammari
Chief Financial Officer:
As the CFO (treasurer) of Vision Company, I was in charge of all money imported to the company and all the money that were spend. I also was in charge of the number of stocks and how many stocks did the company obtain. I calculated all the revenue and the costs. I also calculated the salaries of all workers in the company according to how much did they used their time and effort spend to work. Lastly, I have calculated how much money will each person get from the stock they bought.
Omar Al Abouh
Vice President of Services:
As a services director, I was in charge of the cruise and transportation of the passengers safely from the Kuwaiti docks to the island. This included organizing the minutes of action during the cruise and the activities done there. Also, I had to make sure that the food and water supplies were safely transported there.
At the island, my mission was take care of legal matters with the police on the island. Things like stating the names of all the passengers and telling them where we will reside. Also, I was in charge of the first parts of the cruises. I think that the boat company we talked to were great, they gave us a great yacht that fitted 50 people which was exactly what we wanted because we wanted a 10 man/woman staff and 40 tourists. Even though we got a great income I still think that we could have gotten an even better income if we have had worked harder and if we thought outside the box. Also, we should improve on island transportation.
Ahmad M. Al Shammari
Vice President of Sales:
From February till May Vision had accomplished so much. Each person was assigned 5 tickets to sell, once they have sold these they could come back and get some more. None of the salespersons had to come back; the maximum number of tickets sold per salesperson was 4 tickets. A total of 29 tickets were sold, each at $15. There were no commissions per salesperson, and the total money earned was $435. In conclusion, the money earned was a result of hard work and a team effort between members, it was a successful year for Vision.
Anwar Al-Muzaini
Vice President of Human Resources:
In K-Business my job was to take attendance. I had to check people late or absent. I liked my job, it was interesting. I must never change something and always get record of every meeting. People missed some meetings, but that will be a problem that they may regret. I must not be late, if I was late I must record that I’m late, and ask who was late and check for absences and that would not be handling my job correctly. In general, the absences increased from February. I recorded many absences but most were excused. I think people that are absent with no excuse are not probably caring about this company. I was not absent many times, but when I was I always had an excuse. I think I did a good job or at least tried very hard to make a good job.
Dawood Al-Omani
Corporate Secretary:
This corporate secretary quit. The CFO, CEO, and I handled all stockholder communication and liquidation.
Dr. Daniel R. Fruit
Chief Information Officer (CIO):
Vision Company has had a very successful trip to Failaka. All our customers were pleased. Bieng the CIO I was in-charge of the advertisement for this trip. At first, vision and I were going to use a web-sight, but after considering that we will be only having one or two trips to Failaka we decided to use posters. Our posters were effective seeing that our first trip to Failaka was successful. We had a yacht filled with customers on our way to Failaka and on our way back we had a yacht full of happy customers that were willing to go back to Failaka on the next trip. Sadly, due to the weather Vision was concerned for the safety of our customers and staff we decided to cancel the upcoming trip. Vision was deligted that its customers are happy and hopes to continue its trips next year.
Hamad Al-Mousa
Marketing Manager:
Our company Vision was very successful in our trip to Falika. We of course researched the island well before making the trips. My main job as the manager of marketing was to make advertisements for the trips. I think that my advertisements were successful that is because many people came to Falika and we even got more money that we hoped to get. Some of our advertisements were making posters, fliers, brochures, and making announcements. I think the company would have been even more successful if we thought a little bit outside the box and brought people from other schools, and if we brought teachers that live Mahbula. I think that the boat company we talked to were great, they gave us a great yacht that fitted 50 people which was exactly what we wanted because we wanted a 10 man/woman staff and 40 tourists. Even though we got a great income I still think that we could have gotten an even better income if we have had worked harder and if we had thought outside the box.
Sayed Yacoub Al_Rifae
In Conclusion:
Thank You for investing in Vision Company.
Yours Sincerely,
Dheidan Al Shammari
