Dear High School Counselors, Teachers and Chaperones,
Again, thank you for your participation in Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar's first-ever high school Model United Nations conference. This year's conference was an enormous success - mainly due to your delegates' enthusiasm and contributions and also to your involvement.
We have set the tentative dates for an even more thought-provoking MUN conference which will run from Wednesday January 3 to Saturday January 6, 2007 in Doha, Qatar. After talking with many of you, we felt it best to move our conference earlier in the academic year, so students are fresh and less busy with end of year preparations. Also, depending on Eid Al Adha, the conference may be pushed back a day, and would thus run from Thursday January 4 through Sunday January 7^th .
There will be a discounted participation fee per delegate which will cover airline ticket, visa, transportation, hotel, all meals, a trip to Education City, and more… We will try to keep the participation fee as low as possible (and it will in no way approach the actual costs of the above), but it /will/ be an increase from the simple school registration fee of this past March. However, chaperones' trips will be fully covered by Georgetown, as long as the chaperone to student ratio remains at one to five.

We encourage as many students as possible to participate in the MUN, so if your school feels that the participation fee is prohibitive to either the school's or certain students' participation, please contact us.

We look forward to hearing from you. If there is an alternate contact at your school that I should be in touch with, please let me know. I'd also like to thank many of you for your thoughtful evaluations that have been helpful in our planning so far. Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have, as I will be fielding all MUN related e-mails for our staff this year.
Also, Gregg will be forwarding you an e-mail from Snapfish.com to view photos and to order prints offline. This website is protected and can only be viewed by MUN participants. If for some reason you do not receive the link to the website, please e-mail Gregg at gbd@georgetown.edu
Thanks so much,
Kathryn King
